The level of star power that going to hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year is astonishing. There are going to be so many of the past Cannes queens that I may die of glamour overload before the festival closes. I think that the In The Fade premiere is going to be one of my favorites of the festival. The schedule of premieres has not been announced for this years edition, but I would bet that In The Fade gets one of the prime 5PM slots. These are usually the most glamorous premieres with the added looks from the L’Oreal ladies. Not that any red carpet with Diane Kruger on it needs added glamour. When it was announced that Diane Kruger would be presenting her latest project In The Fade at this years festival I got very excited. If anyone has had the most consistent approach to getting it right on the Cannes red carpet it has been Diane. Every time that she has stepped out for the festival Diane has made my best of Cannes list and I would imagine that will happen yet again this year. For the photocall I picked one of my favorite looks from the Fall 2017 RTW collections with this navy and white celestial print Chloe Fall 2017 RTW mini shift dress which features puffy sleeves for Diane. This was one of the few looks I knew I wanted to see at the festival and I know that Diane has the effortless glamour to really make it come to life with a loose wavy bob, neutral makeup, and silver sandals. For the premiere I went to Elie Saab and his magical red carpet creations. Diane doesn’t wear Elie Saab very often, but when she does they are magical moments. I went back to the Elie Saab Fall 2016 Couture collection, which Diane wore a look from last year, for her premiere at Cannes. I think that Diane in this steel blue embellished dandelion sleeveless a-line gown over nude organza would be a really chic and magical moment for Diane to bring to the red carpet at the festival. The gown is uber glam but also has this bohemian vibe about it, which Diane has worn recently and I this would really be a truly gorgeous moment for to wear on the red carpet at the festival. I could rank against some of her most iconic looks from past editions. A romantic updo, smokey eye, light pink lip, diamond cluster earrings, matching satin clutch, and a pair of nude sandals would add the perfect finishing touches to this look to ensure that Diane wins the red carpet at Cannes.Usually when it comes to featuring members of the jury in my premiere wishes I usually break it up and not feature all of the members in every wish. That would be the case if this years jury wasn’t so good. So with this year being so different you will be seeing wishes for Fan Bingbing and Jessica Chastain with every premiere wish that I am featuring. I had a hard time narrowing down all my wishes for Fan Bingbing because of how great her style is. I am hoping that over the course of the festival that Fan delivers some really looks every single day over the course of the festival. In the past we have seen Fan wear some of the Dolce & Gabbana casual and cocktail runway looks from the labels ready-to-wear collections. For Cannes I would love it if Fan debuts her first Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda couture ball gown on the red carpet. I think that the dramatic gowns that are presented at Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda shoes are right up Fan’s ally. This off the shoulder ball gown from the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Fall 2014 collection, which is covered in a hand painted tile print just screams Fan to me. The gown is bold, dramatic, and breezy which makes for a perfect Cannes moment. With the additions of a chic updo, pink lip, and yellow sandals all would add to the perfection of this look. The Cannes Film Festival is a place where stars get to experiment with designers and styles. So far with my wish for the opening ceremony and this premiere I have been expanding Jessica Chastain’s repertoire of designers first with Giambattista Valli now Alexis Mabille. I think that Jessica would be absolutely gorgeous wearing this purple Alexis Mabille Spring 2017 couture gown which features an asymmetrical ruffled neckline and a crystal embellished diadem belt. I love seeing a redhead in purple is absolutely gorgeous and I am hoping that at least one of Jessica’s looks over the course of the festival at least one point. I think that while this gown is an elevated classic thanks to the ruffles and belt and that for a premiere that this is a perfect look for Jessica to walk the red carpet wearing. A chic updo, simple diamond cluster earrings, and matching purple sandals to let the gown do all the talking would really turn this look into a beautiful moment for Jessica. While I am posting a crazy amount of wishes for Jessica and Fan I will not be doing the same with Mistress of Ceremonies Monica Bellucci. I picked random premieres to feature wishes for Monica to wear over the course of the festival. Most of my wishes for Monica will feature her favorite designers. Like today. I would love to see Monica take to the red carpet at the festival wearing this minimalistic off the shoulder cream Valentino Spring 2017 Couture pleated long sleeve gown. This gown light which is not something we usually see Monica wearing on the red carpet, but for the Cannes Film Festival I think that it would be a perfect look for Monica to wear on the red carpet. I think that a statement pair of earrings, loose updo, lined eye, light pink glossy lip, and a pair of gold pumps would really make this a perfect look for Monica.
