Tomorrow is a crazy day; my Cannes wishes kick off and the Met Gala will take place. So I will probably have my head spinning by the time I go to bed tomorrow night. But before I dive down that rabbit hole I have two more summer blockbuster movie premiere wish lists to put out there. I don’t have a date for the London premiere of Wonder Woman but with it being such a big budget blockbuster I cannot picture it not having a major European premiere. I really can’t wait to see what Gal Gadot is going to bring to the red carpet of her first headline promo tour. After killing the fashion game with the Batman vs. Superman tour last year I have high expectations for Gal to really WOW me at each stop along this tour. Gal has worn some gorgeous looks over the last year with a few coming from Dolce & Gabbana, so I would imagine that at least one look from this tour will come from the iconic Italian brand. I went back to the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Fall 2016 collection and this red satin tiered tea length gown which features a plunging neckline and an a-line skirt for Gal to wear to step out on the red carpet at the Wonder Woman premiere in London. I adore this dress and I think it is such a classic and feminine look which makes it perfect for a red carpet premiere. I think that this dress is bold and classic all wrapped up into one glamorous package. I would love to see Gal style this gown with a loose romantic updo, lined eye, red lip, a pair of red lace Dolce & Gabbana crystal broach embellished pumps, and a pair of dainty diamond drop earrings to really make it a perfect red carpet moment. As I have said it has been a REALLY LONG time since we have seen Robin Wright deliver something really eye catching on the red carpet and I am hoping that with the buzz around both Wonder Woman and House of Cards (which release around the same time) that she will be back on the red carpets in full force. I went bold pattern and simple silhouette with this black and ivory Tom Ford Spring 2017 RTW embellished column gown for Robin because she doesn’t often go for high impact looks. I think that this look pushes her boundaries just enough to be really glamorous without running the risk of making her uncomfortable. I don’t think we have ever seen Robin wear Tom Ford on the red carpet, but I totally think that the two’s aesthetic would mesh really well. Especially with this kind of look. A smokey eye, nude lip, sleek pixie, black sandals, and a black clutch would all ensure that this is a gorgeous red carpet moment for Robin.Doutzen Kroes has been up and down with her style on the red carpet recently and I am hoping that when she steps out to promote Wonder Woman that she will deliver really major looks. I feel like we will just see Doutzen at the major premieres so there are really just two or three opportunities for her to wow me. I went with sleek sequins for Doutzen to wear in LA so for London I went with just sleek construction via this raspberry red Brandon Maxwell Fall 2017 RTW asymmetrical gown which features a collar, small slit at waist and low back. Some of Doutzen’s more successful looks recently have been thanks to Brandon and now that he has embraced color I think that this sleek yet bold gown which meshes glamour and sexy to perfection would just make for a major moment on Doutzen. With the way the gown is constructed I think that going with a sleek high ponytail, smokey eye, nude lip, diamond cluster earrings, a pair of nude sandals, and a statement diamond cuff would really make this one of Doutzen’s best red carpet moments ever.Rounding out this list is Spanish actress Elena Anya, who I just learned got herself a premiere at Cannes! The London premiere of Wonder Woman will most likely take place after Elena’s Cannes premiere so I would hope that she will ride the glamour of the festival through this promo tour. Back in October of last year Elena was invited to sit front row at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2017 RTW presentation so I feel like we will see her wear the label at least once at sometime in May. I would love to see Elena step out on the red carpet at the Wonder Woman premiere in London wearing a custom strapless a-line gown inspired by this blue plaid sequined Louis Vuitton Fall 2017 RTW mini dress. Vuitton does some great custom gowns sometimes and I think that the fun nature of this dress turned into a gown with a classic silhouette would be perfect for the London premiere of a major blockbuster. With a romantic updo, smokey eye, red lip, diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of black sandals this would be a totally gorgeous red carpet moment.

One response to ““Wonder Woman” London Premiere Red Carpet Wish List”

  1. I agree that Robin Wright and Tom Ford is a combination that MUST happen: their styles are so similar and their vibe is exactly the same….I think Robin, as the serious actress she is, doesn’t give too much importance to the red carpet thing, I’m pretty sure that she called the whole thing “her nemesis”…she doesn’t like it. Her LA based hairstylist Paul Norton said that she just flies through the red carpet as fast as she possibly can, that’s her thing. In any case she has a great body, probably better than most actresses half her age, so is not difficult for her, and I like when she and her stylist (the amazing Kemal Harris, who’s also her personal costume designer for House Of Cards) prefer minimalistic and not eye catching looks. As for the hair, I think she got tired of her already famous and too much copied pixie and she has been growing in out into a long bob.

Sorry the length comment, I’m just a big Robin Wright fan. Thanks for your blog, I’ve just recently discovered it and I love it!
