2017 Academy Awards: Plus Ones Red Carpet Wish List

chrissy-teigan-2017-academy-awards-red-carpet-wish-list-1I am going to take a quick break from the lovely ladies who are going to be presenting at the Academy Awards to the ladies who will most likely be on the arms of their husbands, who are nominated, presenting, and performing on Sunday night. Chrissy Teigan is becoming an Oscars regular having been on the red carpet the last 3 years and is expected to be on the arm of hubby John Legend ahead of his performance of the Best Original Song nominated numbers from his film La La Land. I adore seeing Chrissy on the red carpet because she really delivers amazing looks that are worthy of a nominee or presenter while just being John’s plus one. For this years Academy Awards red carpet I would love to see Chrissy go for bold with this black, white, and gold Ashi Studio Spring 2017 Couture strapless embroidered ballgown. This gown is a bold statement and the embroidered pattern might be a little more than we are used to seeing on the Academy Awards red carpet, but I think that if anyone could get away with wearing this gown on the Oscars red carpet it would be Chrissy. Styling this look with a chic updo, smokey eye, red lip, diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of gold Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Darcie’ sandals would really make this an absolutely gorgeous moment. Letting her hair down you can see what gorgeous Naeem Khan gown I want to see Chrissy change into after the ceremony for the Vanity Fair party. jessica-biel-2017-academy-awards-red-carpet-wish-list-1Jessica Biel has not been announced as a presenter, but her husband Justin Timberlake is nominated and performing his Best Original Song “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” so I imagine that Jessica will be on the red carpet on his arm. Jessica helped kick off awards season as Justin’s plus one to the Golden Globe Awards and she really wowed wearing a gorgeous Elie Saab Couture gown on the red carpet. I have high hopes as to what she will wear on Sunday as I know that Jessica has the ability to really deliver some amazing red carpet moments. For the Oscar red carpet I would love to see Jessica wearing this gorgeous navy blue Marchesa Fall 2017 RTW tired ball gown which features a plunging neckline, 3D floral embroidery and a tulle overlay. I was not a huge fan of this collection but this gown is one of the standout potential red carpet moments and I think that Jessica would be gorgeous wearing this creation on the red carpet. This gown is feminine, dark, and glamorous and the perfect style for Jessica who is expected to attend the red carpet as a plus one. A pair of black sandals, a romantic updo, lined eye, red lip, and diamond drop earrings would ensure that this gown is a major moment on the red carpet. I kept Jessica in Marchesa for the Vanity Fair party with a little more of a simple style. penelope-cruz-2017-academy-awards-red-carpet-wish-list-1I am not really expecting Penelope Cruz to join hubby Javier Bardem on the Oscar red carpet on Sunday, but hey a guy can dream. Last year Penelope didn’t put a single look forward that I wasn’t head over heels with. The same cannot be said about the looks she has put forward this year. If Penelope does hit the red carpet at the Oscars on Sunday I am hoping that she ans stylist Cristina Ehrlich really turn around her style. This sleek white Oscar de la Renta Fall 2017 RTW one shoulder gown which features an asymmetrical sweetheart neckline, a column silhouette, and a metal flower embellished waistline would be a perfect look for Penelope to get herself back on top of the best dressed lists. Paring this gown with a white clutch, a pair of silver sandals, diamond drop earrings, a sleek updo with bangs, a smokey eye, and a red lip would really make this an absolutely beautiful moment for Penelope.

I will be live tweeting the 2017 Academy Awards red carpet, show, and after parties. All night starting at 5PM on Sunday, please join me.
