I am just going to keep pushing on with more wishes for gorgeous women to present at the Academy Awards on Sunday night. One person I was really shocked to see announced as a presenter is Amy Adams who the world was shocked to see not nominated for Best Actress. Since the nominations were released and Amy’s name wasn’t on the list her style has kinda been lackluster, but I am hoping that come the Oscars on Sunday night that she really wow’s me. I had originally picked this marigold Giambattista Valli Spring 2017 Couture one shoulder gown which features bow details on the shoulder and the hip as well as a cape detail for Emma Stone to wear, but I changed my mind at the last minute. I thought Emma needed something more classic and then they announced Amy as a presenter and it sealed me making the swap. This gown is a bold statement and a risk and I am really hoping that Amy really brings it on Sunday night. Why not? She has nothing to loose by taking this major risk. This gown would rival the purple Giambattista Valli gown that Amy wore to the 2009 SAG Awards as one of her best looks ever. Following this look seeing Amy change into Elie Saab Couture for the Vanity Fair party would really deliver two absolutely major moments on Oscar night.Charlize Theron is becoming quite the Oscars regular having been a presenter every year since 2013, and I am excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet on Sunday. We have not seen the Dior ambassador wearing the label on the red carpet since Maria Grazia Chiuri took over the brands creative director role, and I am sure that Sunday will be the first time we see her wearing creations from Maria. Not all the looks from the collections are really Charlize who has a sleek approach to glamour but I would love to see her take to the Oscar red carpet wearing this gold lamé Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture gown which is covered in black tulle (to make the shine a little more subtle) and features a plunging neckline, defined waist, and a pleated a-line skirt. This gown I think meshes the more fairy glamour of Chiuri and Charlize’s sleek glamour in such a perfect way to make it a major red carpet moment. The gown is perfect for the Oscars and probably would have been my choice for Natalie Portman had she not been ready to pop. Finishing this look with black and gold Jimmy Choo ‘Pearl’ sandals, a sleek hairstyle, smokey eye, nude lip, and a pair of vintage gold set Harry Winston diamond cluster earrings to round out this gorgeous look. There hasn’t been a single look this year that Felicity Jones has worn this year. Her Gucci at the Globes was over done and her Dior at the BAFTA’s was just blah. I am hoping that come Sunday and the Academy Awards red carpet that Felicity really delivers something amazing. While she has never worn Zac Posen on the red carpet before I am wishing that she wearing this gorgeous black Zac Posen Fall 2017 RTW origami folded organza ballgown which features a plunging neckline and gorgeous red floral embroidery. This gown is a beautiful moody princess moment and I really think that Felicity would look absolutely gorgeous rocking this gown on the Oscars red carpet. A loose updo, lined eye, red lip, black sandals, and a pair of diamond and ruby cluster earrings would add the absolutely perfect finishing touches to this look for Felicity. Janelle Monae wore a Marc Jacobs look that featured a lot of color recently and it has had people buzzing if it means that she will bust out color for the Academy Awards on Sunday. I don’t think so. If any of Janelle’s Oscar looks incorporates color it will be her accessories. It was really easy for me to pick Janelle’s Oscar gown because the moment I saw this ivory Yanina Spring 2017 Couture tired mermaid gown which features such gorgeous black Spanish inspired embroidery on the runways of Paris Couture Fashion Week it immediately screamed Janelle to me. The gown shows more skin than Janelle normally shows but I think that it would still be the perfect look for her to really make a gorgeous statement on the Oscar red carpet. Styling this look with a black Edie Parker ‘Fiona’ faceted clutch, a pair of simple black sandals, a chic pulled back afro, a red lip, a pair of diamond cluster earrings, and a selection of diamond cocktail rings would really make this a gorgeous moment for Janelle and her first Oscars. I also picked a more fun Reem Acra gown for Janelle to change into for the Vanity Fair after party. Scarlett Johansson has kept a pretty low profile over the last year so I am really excited to see what she will wear on the red carpet at the Academy Awards on Sunday night. ScarJo has a lot to live up to since her last Oscar gown was such a major moment with that green Atelier Versace look with a built in necklace. I think that going for something glamorous with movement would be something a little unexpected for Scarlett since most of the looks that we are used to seeing her wear mostly structured looks on the red carpet. This antique gold Roberto Cavalli Couture gown which features a scoop neckline, a column silhouette, and all over beaded fringe is perfection. While I may have made this my wish for Heidi Klum to wear for the Elton John party, but I honestly think that I would much rather see ScarJo give this a glam moment on the red carpet. I would love to see her give us a themed look (kinda like her punk princess Roland Mouret from the 2005 Oscars) by styling her hair into chic finger waves adding a smokey eye, nude lip, dainty diamond drop earrings, a champagne satin clutch, and a pair of gold sandals. This would make this one of the most memorable moments of the evening, is it another tiara? No, but still a gorgeous moment.
I will be live tweeting the 2017 Academy Awards red carpet, show, and after parties. All night starting at 5PM on Sunday, please join me.
