The fashion industry is in the midst of a major shakeup. With the evolution of the fashion cycle and destination fashion shows on the rise many labels are forfeiting showing in their traditional circuits in favor of marching to the beat of their own drum. Rachel Zoe is one that forgo-ed showing her Fall 2017 RTW collection instead opting for a very glamorous presentation at the Sunset Tower Hotel over dinner. The models, dress in Zoe’s Fall 2017 collection, walked out from a curtain and made their way around the room passing by each table so the guests could take in the collections details up close and personal. Rachel, with her red carpet background and love of Studio 54, really delivered a lot of glamour in her 17 look collection. There was barely a single look that didn’t have some sort of embellishment. I think that Rachel is making a case for being taken seriously for red carpet moments, and there are definitely a few waiting to happen from this collection. My favorite look from this collection was the rose gold sequin slip gown with the off the shoulder sleeve detail. I think that Jaime King, who was among the celebrities that attended the presentation, would look ever so glamorous on the red carpet wearing that confection. Almost every look from this collection seems red carpet ready. There were looks for stars like Kate Hudson, Poppy Delevinge, Eva Longoria, Sarah & Erin Foster, Olivia Culpo, Selma Blair, and Nicole Richie who all took in the collection from their tables at the presentation. Other stars that I can picture wearing this collection on the red carpet include Alison Brie, Olivia Palermo, Sarah Hyland, Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Dakota Johnson, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Rodriguez, Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova, Cheryl Cole, Holland Roden,Vanessa Hudgens, Mandy Moore, Julianne Hough, Jessica Alba, Emmy Rossum, Elizabeth Banks, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Ellen Pompeo, Iman, Anne Hathaway, January Jones, Anna Kendrick, Selena Gomez, Olivia Munn, Halle Berry, and Emma Roberts.
