2017 Academy Scientific and Technical Awards Red Carpet Wish List

leslie-mann-2017-academy-scientific-technical-awards-red-carpet-wish-list-1Following the Academy Award nominees luncheon the next official Oscars event is the Scientific and Technical Awards where the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards the brightest visionary minds in all of film. The Sci-Tech awards are often referred to as the “Nerds Oscars” as they honor the minds who create the technology that has been able to bring us to over worlds in our living rooms. Every year the Academy invites an actor and an actress to host the event. This year that honor goes to John Cho and Leslie Mann. I am intrigued to see what Leslie is going to bring to the red carpet at this event. Usually we see someone who has a lot of red carpet chops like Olivia Munn, Margot Robbie, Kristen Bell, Elizabeth Banks or Milla Jovovich who have hosted the awards in recent years. For this years awards I would love to see Leslie hit the red carpet wearing this very classic and elegant black Monique Lhuillier Spring 2017 RTW peplum gown features a lace embroidered deep v-neckline, embellishment at the bodice, and a layered full tulle skirt. While this gown is a classic moment I think that Leslie would really turn this gown into a beautiful moment on the red carpet. Styling this gown with a pair of black Monique Lhuillier ‘Evelyn’ sandals, diamond drop earrings, a romantic updo, and a bold red lip to really ensure that this look becomes one of Leslie’s best red carpet moments ever.
