2017 Berlin International Film Festival: “The Dinner” Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

chloe-sevingy-2017-berlin-film-festival-the-dinner-premiere-red-carpet-wish-list-1While most of Hollywood is getting ready for this year’s Academy Awards the first film festival of the year is slated to begin next Thursday bringing a new crop of hopefuls for next years Oscars. The Berlin International Film Festival is the first of the major European Film Festivals from which we usually start to hear early Oscar buzz come from. I haven’t started hearing the pre-festival buzz about which films are the most anticipated yet. From what I have seen of the films selected to premiere this year there is a definite lack of major star power. There are a few films with some big names, but not many. The film kicking off my Berlin Film Fest wishes is The Dinner and I am intrigued to see who from the film will be on the red carpet. Chloe Sevigny is one of the stars of the film and is very hit or miss to me when it comes to her red carpet styling. Most of the time I am totally against what Chloe is wearing and then there are sometimes that Chloe really shows me something amazing. For the Berlin International Film Festival premiere of The Dinner I would love to see Chloe hit the red carpet wearing this gorgeous black tea length Chane Pre-Fall 2017 gown which features a mock turtleneck, long sleeves, textured a-line skirt, and a gold belt. I think that for this red carpet that something heavier and dark would be a fitting choice. Finishing with a sleek bun, red lip, gold clutch, and black pumps would make this a pretty great look for Chloe. laura-linney-2017-berlin-film-festival-the-dinner-premiere-red-carpet-wish-list-1Laura Linney was MIA from the red carpet for a while and then popped back up during the promo tour for Nocturnal Animals last year. For the Berlin Film Festival premiere of The Dinner I would love it if she called up Tom Ford and got her hands on this ensemble from his Fall 2016 RTW presentation which features a black sequin top and plastic fringe evening skirt. While there is a bit of edge in this look, it is also really classically glamorous. I think that Laura would really be gorgeous wearing this ensemble as her strawberry blonde hair would just pop against the black sequins. Hair styled into a chic chignon, a smokey eye, nude lip, black clutch, a pair of diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of black pumps would perfectly style this look for Laura. rebecca-hall-2017-berlin-film-festival-the-dinner-premiere-red-carpet-wish-list-1Last year Rebecca Hall made a return to the red carpet and showed her chops wearing Dior Couture and custom Prada. I am hoping that as she transitions into the new year that her style only continues to evolve. While I was very aware of the cold temperatures on the Berlin Film Festival red carpet for Chloe and Laura, but for Rebecca I went for something that forfits warmth for fashion. I think that this white Schiaparelli Spring 2017 Couture column gown which features a cape train attached at the shoulders to a sheer yoke would look absolutely amazing on Rebecca for this red carpet. Sheer yokes can go really bad so I hope that if Rebecca wears this gown that she works with Schiaparelli to get the right shade of nude so the illusion is really kept and illusion. Adding a chic wavy bob, diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of white pumps would really make this another great look for Rebecca on the red carpet as she continues to grow.

The 2017 Berlin International Film Festival opens on Thursday  February 9, 2017 and runs through Saturday February 18, 2017.
