For Spring 2017 Couture the strong and sexy Alexandre Vauthier woman went on a trip to the 80s, a very big trend for this season, and came back with all the things we loved about the decades fashion, and none of the things we didn’t. Denim, satin, knits, velvet and tweed all came together to create a really strong collection. While I don’t see anyone new joining the Vauthier crew when it comes to the red carpet. Strong shoulders be they poufy one shoulder gowns, cocktail dresses, or tops, or on both shoulders with skirts of minimal lengths or on tops with trailing trains. With the Grammy Awards coming up I am sure that some of this collection will be worn for that red carpet, and the parties surrounding it. My favorite look from the collection, the off the shoulder robe style geometric sequined gown, would be the perfect look for Gwen Stefani to wear on the Grammy red carpet.
The names that I picture wearing this collection are all the edgiest and most glamorous names in modeling and music, with a sprinkle of film stars. Kristen Stewart, Diane Kruger, Lily Aldridge, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevinge. Naomie Harris, Anja Rubik, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Selena Gomez, Izabel Goulart, Beyonce, Charlize Theron, Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Fergie, Chrissy Teigan, Irina Shayk, Cindy Bruna, Daisy Ridley, Suki Waterhouse, Emily Ratajkowski, Demi Lovato, Taylor Hill, Adriana Lima, Taraji P. Henson, Taylor Swift, Karlie Kloss, Miley Cyrus, Amber Heard, Sharon Stone, Doutzen Kroes, Erin Wasson, Ciara, Alessandra Ambrosio, Heidi Klum, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, and Lily Donaldson are all names that come to mind when I look at this collection.
