Spring. Seems like a groundbreaking starting point for a spring couture collection. But Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo sought inspiration for their Ralph & Russo Spring 2017 Couture started with the springboard of the promise for renewal and frisson of youth that is associated with the spring season. This collection was one of my favorites. I was ooing and ahhing from a live stream from someone I follow on Instagram while watching the pictures get uploaded onto NowFashion. There were so many gorgeous moments in this collection, which is nothing unusual, and I am sure that we will continue to see the base of Ralph & Russo’s celebrity fans continue to grow. There are looks from this collection that I am sure are destined to every type of red carpet. From the Oscar to Cannes and the Grammy’s to the Met. There are so many great looks from this collection but my favorite was the light blue strapless ballgown which features an architectural bodice with geometric crystal beading and a full geometric petal detailed skirt. When I first saw this gown strut down the runway I could not but imagine how gorgeous that Sonam Kapoor would look wafting down the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival wearing this gown. There are so many gorgeous red carpet moments just waiting to happen from all the amazing looks from this collection. Some of the stars that I want to bring this collection to life on the red carpet include Angelina Jolie, Kirsten Dunst, Fan Bingbing, Araya A. Hargate, Nieves Alvarez, Dita Von Teese, Hailee Steinfeld, Izabel Goulart, Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, Rita Ora, Naomie Harris, Uma Thurman, Suki Waterhouse, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Lily James, Blake Lively, Alessandra Ambrosio, Olga Kurylenko, Ana Beatriz Barros, Jourdan Dunn, Aishwarya Rai, Erin O’Connor, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessie J, Cheryl Cole, Solange Knowles, Beyonce, Ruth Negga, Karlie Kloss, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz, Iman, Kate Bosworth, Elizabeth Banks, Sienna Miller, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Adele, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Hudson, Hilary Swank, Rachel McAdams, Katy Perry, Reese Witherspoon, Lily Collins, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sarah Jessica Parker, Evan Rachel Wood, Freida Pinto, & Kate Beckinsale. You can see all my favorite looks from the Spring/Summer 2017 Couture collections, and my immediate wishes of who I want to see wearing them on my Pinterest page.
