2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Best Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture Nominees Red Carpet Wish List

janelle-monae-2017-sag-awards-red-carpet-wish-list-1For the most part the most of the women in this year Best Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture nominated films were either nominated for Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress. The only film that had any female star power that wasn’t Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress nominated was Hidden Figures. Janelle Monae has been killing it this awards season. With roles in two Best Ensemble Cast nominated films, Hidden Figures and Moonlight, I can guarantee you that Janelle will be on the SAG Awards red carpet. Janelle has a very small black and white box that she sticks to, but somehow she never seems monotonous. Janelle’s black and white pailette embellished Armani Prive gown from the Golden Globe Awards showed that she doesn’t take the idea of “Hollywood” dressing too seriously. With that in mind I think that this black Gabriela Hearst Spring 2017 RTW ‘Blatch’ jumpsuit which features a modified asymmetrical sweetheart neckline and an a-line silhouette, which likens to a gown, is something that Janelle would be drawn to. Janelle loves herself some pants on the red carpet and this look meshes that with classic Hollywood glamour. Adding a dazzling pair of diamond cluster earrings, smokey eye, nude lip, black Edie Parker ‘Jean’ white and silver dotted clutch, and black pumps would ensure that this is another win for Janelle.kirsten-dunst-2017-sag-awards-red-carpet-wish-list-1Kirsten Dunst helped kick off awards season wearing custom Ralph & Russo Couture picking up the Best Ensemble Cast honor for Hidden Figures at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Black Tie Awards Gala, and has disappeared since. I was a little surprised that Kirsten wasn’t at the Golden Globe Awards, but with her name as part of the nominated cast of Hidden Figures at the SAG Awards I would imagine that she will be back out on the red carpet. After having a great year on the red carpet last year I am hoping that Kirsten will be back on top form come the SAG Awards. After her rose colored poppy embroidered Gucci gown at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony I think that the label would be a perfect choice for the SAG Awards red carpet. This light pink and gold embroidered peasant style gown from the Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 collection would be perfection on Kirsten. While the dramatic length of the train might be considered a little much for the SAG red carpet, on Kirsten it would just come across as effortless glamour. A chic updo, fresh face of makeup, diamond cluster earrings, gold clutch, and gold sandals would add the perfect finishing touches to this look. taraji-p-henson-2017-sag-awards-red-carpet-wish-list-1Taraji P. Henson is the final member of the Best Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture nominated film Hidden Figures. Taraji has been surprisingly absent from the red carpet since awards season has started. I am hoping that come the SAG Awards at the end of the month that she will step out to celebrate the nomination with the rest of the cast. I would love to see Taraji take to the SAG red carpet in this black edgy glam Lanvin Spring 2017 RTW jersey wrap gown which features a deep metallic chain embellished v-neckline, gold chains at the waist, and a full length skirt. I think that this gown would be the perfect choice for the SAG Awards just because it is a little more of a relaxed approach to high glamour, with a dose of sex appeal. Rounding out this look with a black clutch, sleek bob, smokey eye, red lip, and a pair of gold crystal encrusted black Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Raquel sandals would make this another amazing moment for the SAG Awards red carpet.

I will be live tweeting the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet on Sunday January 29, 2016 starting at 6PM, feel free to follow and join me for fashion ids and fun snark.
