On the road to the Oscars we usually see stars turn up at a long list of events. One stop that usually has a glam red carpet is the Producers Guild of America Awards. While the actresses themselves aren’t nominated they usually turn out to help promote the nominated films in which they star’s producers. I would bet that this year Amy Adams, who is in what is seeming like a 3 horse race to the little gold man, will be in attendance to support her film Arrival. Since the stars aren’t the ones being honored I tend to see a more relaxed cocktail vibe on the red carpet. For the Producers Guild Awards I would love to see Amy hit the red carpet wearing this gorgeous multicolored floral embroidered Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2017 strapless organza cocktail dress which features a straight across neckline, A-line silhouette, and all over floral embroidery. This dress is classically elegant while still being visually striking. Finishing this look with a loose romantic up-do, fresh face of makeup, diamond drop earrings, and a pair of light gold Christian Louboutin ‘Follies Strass’ pumps would perfectly finish this look.Unlike most of the stars on this list Blake Lively’s hubby Ryan Reynolds is nominated as a producer on the hit Marvel superhero comedy Deadpool. Blake killed it has Ryan’s plus one at the Golden Globe Awards wearing a custom Atelier Versace gown. I am only hoping that Blake will continue to slay her way through awards season on Ryan’s arm. For the Producers Guild Awards I would love to see Blake wearing this white and black David Koma Spring 2017 RTW midi cocktail dress which features a loop embroidered neckline with thin straps, open sides with loop details, and a ruffled lace hem. While this may be the most relaxed of the wishes in this list, but I think that Blake would make it a major moment. Elevating this look is all in the styling. I would add a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Sova Broda’ multicolored embellished strappy sandals, a lined eye, sleek ponytail, pink lip, and pink diamond Lorraine Schwartz chandelier earrings would elevate this to absolutely stunning levels.Emma Stone topped by best dressed at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards list. I am praying that Emma keeps that same momentum going all though awards season. I would guess that Emma would be the one who would take to the red carpet at the Producers Guild Awards to represent La La Land. While Couture isn’t usually something that gets pulled out for the Producers Guild Awards I am always wishing for the best of the best. I would adore seeing Emma hit the red carpet wearing this Chanel Fall 2016 Couture tea length gown which features a plunging neckline, full skirt, and tweed embellishments. I honestly cannot believe that this dress has not been snatched up yet. I think that despite this event being all about the producers all eyes would be on Emma in this gown. A loose up-do, emerald cluster earrings, smokey eye, and simple gold sandals would make this a killer red carpet moment for Emma.So far over the course of awards season Janelle Monae has blown me away with amazing looks from Jenny Packham, Armani Prive, Georges Chakra, and Thom Browne. All of Janelle’s looks have been exclusively in her black and white box and while each has been anything but basic, I am still hoping that at some point that Janelle will wear something with a little color. For the Producers Guild Awards I would love to see Janelle hit the red carpet wearing this black Marchesa Notte Pre-Fall 2017 illusion halter midi dress which features gorgeous teal sequin and feathered embellishments. This dress steps out of Janelle’s standard black and white box, but also falls in as something that I can definitely see her wear. Finishing the look with a high bun, smokey eye, nude lip, a selection of diamond rings, and a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Calliope’ crystal embellished sandals would really showcase this look as an absolutely drop dead moment for Janelle. Naomie Harris had a rocky start to awards season with switching stylists from Nola Singer to Michela Erlanger, but the Friday before the Globes Naomie was back with Nola and magic has ensued ever since. A killer Thom Browne dress at the BAFTA Tea Party and Armani Prive at the Golden Globes and after parties really showed why I said that Naomie is one of the ones to watch this awards season. With her film Moonlight nominated for a Producers Guild Awards I would love to see Naomie make it a stop on the way to the Oscars. I have been waiting for someone to wear this absolutely gorgeous Elie Saab Fall 2016 Couture ensemble which features a black, white, and gold textured blouse and a black wrap skirt, and I really think that Naomie would more than do it justice. This look will take someone with a lot of presence to really make it work and I can think of no one with more presence than someone who can really work a Thom Browne look on the red carpet. Styling this look with old Hollywood waves, a smokey eye, black and gold Sophia Webster ‘Maya’ sandals, and a black clutch would add the perfect finishing touches to this look.Ruth Negga is the one rounding out this post. Her film Loving is being honored at the Producers Guild Awards, so I can really imagine that she will be on the red carpet. Ruth has been the breakout star this year wearing Valentino at the Palm Springs Awards Gala and custom Louis Vuitton at the Golden Globe Awards. I expect that we will continue to see Ruth expand her red carpet repertoire. For the PGA Awards I would love to see Ruth wearing this black Armani Prive Fall 2016 Couture cocktail dress which features a sheer yoke, sequin stripe origami bow bustier, and velvet tea length skirt. This dress is a romantic, visually impactful red carpet moment, while still letting the night be about the producers and not her. Chic finger waves, red lip, light smokey eye, and a pair of simple black sandals would round this out as another elegant red carpet moment for Ruth.
