I have only covered one Pre-Fall 2017 collection all season long. While there have been some really great collections this season none of them really spoke to me. That was until I saw the Delpozo Pre-Fall 2017 collection yesterday. Leave it to Josep Font to really make my jaw drop with the type of collection that I really love. All of the looks in this collection from the casual to the evening all scream high fashion and avant garde. I praise labels like Delpozo for pushing the boundaries on what acceptable day-wear is and I absolutely love it. The pink coat with voluminous sleeves is a perfect fashion week staple. My life motto when buying clothes is “will I wear this during fashion week?” If the answer is yes then I buy it and I wear it whether I am at fashion week or not, if I say no then it goes back on the rack. I wish more people thought with that idea. It was really hard to pick a single favorite look from this collection but the navy blue brocade long sleeve cocktail dress which features an off the shoulder neckline embellished with a large origami style rosette one one shoulder and a slight bell shape skirt really took my breath away. I would love to see someone like Natalie Portman or Marion Cotillard really bring that dress to life on the red carpet. Speaking of red carpets we have already seen the first of this collection take to the red carpet. Caitriona Balfe attended the Golden Globe Awards wearing the navy and orange strapless gown before the lookbook was even release. Other celebrities that I can see really bringing this collection to life on the red carpet include Kiernan Shipka, Elle Fanning, Keira Knightley, Michelle Dockery, Rose Byrne, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Karlie Kloss, Dakota Fanning, Hillary Swank, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Lily Collins, Kate Hudson, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sophie Turner, Gillian Jacobs, Margot Robbie, Araya A. Hargate, Eugenia Silva, Kate Mara, and Nieves Alvarez. You can see all my favorite looks, and who I think should wear them, from the Pre-Fall 2017 collections over on my Pinterest page.
