While the Golden Globe Awards red carpet is just 6 hours away when it comes to my red carpet wishes it is time to start moving on. The next big event that is going to come up is the People’s Choice Awards on January 18, 2017. I appreciate that the People’s Choice Awards were moved to after the Golden Globe Awards since they are usually the first show of the year and I have a hard time properly covering the red carpet. Over the past couple of years stars have upped the glamour of the red carpet and I am hoping that will continue this year. Anna Kendrick is nominated for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Comedic Movie Actress and I hope that she is one of the ladies in attendance. Anna has some great style and I am sure that she would help elevate the carpet. I think that this black David Koma Spring 2017 RTW sleeveless cocktail dress which features a jewel neckline, plastic chain and crystal embroidery and a puff organza, above the knee hemline would be absolutely perfect for Anna on this red carpet. A pair of statement yellow Steve Madden criss-cross strappy sandals, a black clutch, hair pinned behind her ears, smokey eye, nude lip would round this look out perfectly.Jennifer Lopez is nominated for Favorite TV Crime Drama Actress thanks to her performance in the NBC series Shades of Blue. I adore seeing JLo on the red carpet and I would love to see her hit up the People’s Choice Awards. Jennifer is the queen of rocking a jumpsuit on the red carpet and I would love to see her wear another for the People’s Choice Awards. This black Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2017 flared sleeve jumpsuit which features a rounded neckline with a necktie, intricate beading on bodice and sleeves, and a wide leg silhouette would be absolutely amazing. While this puffy sleeved jumpsuit is gorgeous the puffy shoulders might not be totally JLo’s style. Styling this look with a sleek ponytail, a multicolored stripe Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch, smokey eye, dark red lip, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Empiraltissima’ lace booties would really make this another major moment. After her performance in Bad Moms and new TV show The Good Place Kristen Bell has been nominated for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress and Favorite Actress in a New TV Series. I am not sure really where Kristen’s style is anymore. Sometimes it is really good and sometimes it is forgettable or really bad. I am hoping that Kristen delivers something that I really love when she steps out for the People’s Choice Awards. I think that this red embroidered white Tadashi Shoji Spring 2017 RTW knee length cocktail dress would be just that for Kristen. This dress features a criss-cross halter neck, an a-line silhouette, and all over red embroidery. The elegance of this look is perfect for the Critics Choice Awards, while still being flirty enough to not be too much for this type of a red carpet. I would just add loose waves, lined eye, nude lip, and a pair of white Jimmy Choo ‘Ivette’ sandals to really turn this into a great red carpet moment for Kirsten.Priyanka Chopra is an international favorite. I have quite enjoyed seeing her grow on the red carpet over the past year. Her first major red carpet moment at the 2016 SAG Awards was bad bridesmaid and since then she has just gotten so much better. I would bet that with a nomination for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress, thanks to her hit ABC series Quantico, that it would be a pretty safe bet that she will hit the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards. I would love to see Priyanka hit the carpet wearing this absolutely gorgeous flamingo pink Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2017 RTW sleeveless side slit cocktail dress which features a high neckline, open shoulders, and a high slit at the leg. This dress is such a modern, sleek statement and I think that it would be gorgeous against Priyanka’s skin tone. This dress is just sexy enough without being too much for the People’s Choice Awards. A pair of rose gold toe cap Gianvito Rossi ‘Plexi’ pumps, smokey eye, dark berry lip would round this look out perfectly. And last for today is the gorgeous Chicago P.D. Favorite TV Crime Drama nominated actress, Sophia Bush. Sophia has a very classic sense of dressing about her almost always going for very classically standard look, rarely pushing the envelope. I have to say that my wish for her doesn’t push the envelope either. Sometimes you just need someone who you know will wear a pretty dress. I picked this gorgeous black Monique Lhuillier Spring 2017 RTW cocktail dress which dress features a crew neckline, multicolored floral a drop waist, and a full tulle skirt. This dress is just so pretty and I think that it would look absolutely gorgeous on Sophia. Finishing the look with a sleek updo, bright pink lip, soft smokey eye, and a pair of rose pink Paul Andrew ‘Kimura’ pumps would really add all the perfect finishing touches to the perfectly pretty look for Sophia.
