There are a lot of women nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Usually there are five nominees in a category but this year there are six women with nominations in this category this year. I wonder who will take home the trophy next Sunday. Gina Rodriguez has won the Globe for her role in Jane The Virgin and she could take the it home again this year. I would love to see Gina hit the Globes red carpet wearing this gorgeous white Georges Hobeika Spring 2017 RTW strapless ballgown which features absolutely gorgeous floral embroidery. This is probably the most feminine, princessy look that Gina would have ever worn to this point. I think that this would be gorgeous on Gina and perfect for a Globe red carpet. A pair of silver pumps, pink clutch, chic updo, pink lip, and a pair of diamond drop earrings would perfectly finish this look.I have never heard of Issa Rae or her show Insecure prior to her nomination. When I looked her up to grab a photo of her I noticed that she is a fan of bright colors and bold prints. So with all that in mind I decided that I wanted to feature her in probably the boldest wish that I am featuring. I love this absolutely gorgeous bold orange Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2017 RTW ball gown for Issa to wear when she takes to her first Golden Globe Awards red carpet. Orange isn’t usually a color we see on the red carpet Issa wearing for the Globes would already be stand out. Add the feminine 3D floral embroidery and this is really the perfect gown to make a huge statement. Finishing the look with a chic high bun, a smokey eye, nude lip, gold pumps, and a pair of gold set diamond drop earrings will ensure that all eyes will be on the red carpet newcomer. The last time we saw Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the red carpet was at the 2016 Emmy Awards, where she won Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in VEEP. Her custom Carolina Herrera gown was absolutely gorgeous, possibly her best red carpet look ever. For the Golden Globe Awards next Sunday I am hoping that Julia has yet another gorgeous moment. I decided to stay in her black and white comfort zone picking this black Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2017 cap sleeve stretch cady gown which features a rounded neckline, braided details, and a mermaid style silhouette. This gown is a classically elegant style and I think that it would be a perfect red carpet moment for Julia. I would have Julia style this look with a pair of black pumps, swept up romantic curls, red lip, lined eye, and a pair of statement diamond and emerald earrings to perfectly round out this look.Rachel Bloom won the Golden Globe Award in this category last year for her series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend so I am intrigued to see what she is going to bring to the red carpet on Sunday night. Last tear Rachel wore a custom Christian Siriano gown, and recently at the Critics Choice Awards she wore another custom Siriano creation. My bet would be that Rachel wears another custom look from him for the Globe on Sunday. I went to his collections and I just couldn’t find anything from the recent Siriano collections that I would really like to see Rachel wear on the red carpet, so I went on a search for what I was looking for. I ultimately stumbled upon this gorgeous navy lace Jason Wu Resort 2017 column gown which features an off the shoulder ruffle and tank straps. I think that this classically glamorous gown would really create a gorgeous moment for Rachel, maybe it would help her move from my indifferent list to really being a red carpet look that I love. A simple updo, red lip, diamond drop earrings, a navy satin clutch, and some navy sandals would really make this a gorgeous red carpet moment for Rachel.I am excited that Sarah Jessica Parker snagged herself a nomination for her HBO series Divorce. It has been over 10 years since the last time Sarah was nominated for a Golden Globe, and she hasn’t been on the shows red carpet as a presenter since then either. Sarah used to be one of my favorite women on the red carpet, always wearing the best couture and the hottest new designers. In the past 2 years SJP has lost a little of her mojo to me. I am hoping that we see it back in full force when she steps out on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday night. This gorgeous floral embroidered Elie Saab Fall 2016 Couture long sleeve, a-line gown with a purple velvet waistband would restore her back to the top of the best dressed lists. This gown reminds me of another Elie Saab moment that Sarah had on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011 and that was a magical moment for her. I would figure that Sarah will pair her look with a pair of shoes from her signature SJP shoes. I would pick the black ‘Buckingham Bow’ satin sandals from her collection to pair with this gown. Finishing with a chic updo, smokey eye, and emerald cluster earrings this would be the perfect look for Sarah’s red carpet return. And last but not least for today is Tracee Ellis Ross. I have to say that the growth that Tracee showed in her red carpet dressing in the last year was phenomenal. I absolutely loved her crocheted lace Zuhair Murad gown that she wore at the Critics Choice Awards, it may be her best red carpet moment yet. I am hoping that she continues to grow when she steps out on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet on Sunday. I think that the Black-ish star would look gorgeous wearing this sage green Schiaparelli Fall 2017 Couture drape silk gown which does feature one blue spaghetti strap. I think that this dress is very simple and it would look so elegant on her, while still being dramatic enough for this red carpet. Rounding this look with a pulled back afro, smokey eye, nude lip, gold embellished Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch, gold set diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of gold Jimmy Choo ‘Pearl’ platform leather sandals would make this Tracee’s best red carpet look ever.
I will be live-tweeting the red carpet and ceremony of the 2017 Golden Globe Awards starting at 6PM EST. Grab a glass of champagne and follow me on Twitter to find out what all the stars are wearing on the red carpet.
