Today marks my last full day of Critics Choice Awards wishes. I am excited for this red carpet on Sunday night. If any red carpet left could upset my Best Dressed of the Year list it is going to be this one. Elle Fanning is part of the Best Acting Ensemble nominated cast of 20th Century Woman and I am really hoping that she will jaunt to LA to attend the Critics Choice Awards. Elle is one of those that I think has made the most progress in terms of her red carpet style this year. I went from rolling my eye to absolutely adoring her choices. For the Critics Choice Awards I went with short for Elle, especially since she isn’t presenting or in a stand alone nomination, with this gorgeous blue Chanel Pre-Fall 2017 dress which features embellished tweed and feathered tulle and tweed detailing. This dress is hot off the runway and I would love to see Elle wearing it. A chic bun, cat eye, a pink lip, navy clutch, and a pair of navy sandals would really ensure that Elle finishes this year on a very high note. Janelle Monae has had some really big hair as she has been making the film circuit rounds. I think that it has been ruining a lot of her looks. I wanted to see Janelle wearing the black sequin Christian Siriano jumpsuit that she wore to the Gotham Awards, but her hair and makeup ruined that look for me. For a few red carpets now Janelle has strictly worn pants, and I am wondering if that is going to be her thing this awards season. For the Critics Choice Awards, where she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress, I decided to keep Janelle in pants with this gorgeous Elie Saab Spring 2016 Couture jumpsuit which features a high neck and gorgeous beaded embroidery. When I think of jumpsuits on the red carpet usually I think of people that are really tall, and Janelle is actually quite petite at five foot even. So this would have to be tailored to perfection to be a really stand out look. A pair of white peep toe pumps, white Edie Parker clutch, sleek bun, red lip, and a collection of diamond cocktail rings would add the perfect finishing touches to this look for Janelle. I am praying that Michelle Williams won’t be dancing through awards season wearing exclusively Louis Vuitton for every red carpet. Alicia Vikander was kinda able to balance that dog and pony show, but I don’t know if Michelle will be able to do the same. So far she has only worn Vuitton so far this awards season so I have decided to have her branch out for the Critics Choice Awards where she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress. I think that this icy blue Giorgio Armani Spring 2017 RTW gown which just kind of hangs right off the body in such a glamorous way and I think that Michelle would look so chic wearing this design. I can find Michelle to be a little flat on the red carpet, but not with this look. A chic pixie, light pink lip, diamond cluster earrings, a white Louis Vuitton clutch, and silver sandals would ensure that this is a gorgeous look for Michelle.Scarlett Johansson skipped out on most the the red carpets that she was expected to show up on this year, so I have to say that I am not exactly expecting that she will show up for the Critics Choice Awards Sunday night. ScarJo is nominated for Best Actress in an Action Movie, which just tells me that I really don’t think that she will show up. I would however love it if Scarlett did show up. I would imagine that if she does make an appearance that Scarlett will wear something subtle and classic like this black Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2017 gown which features long lace sleeves, a plunging neckline, and lace covered illusion cutouts. I wouldn’t expect anything really bold from Scarlett since this is once of the awards that they don’t allot a whole lot of time for, which is why I would be very surprised if ScarJo even showed. A chic pixie, red lip, diamond drop earrings, and a pair of black sandals would finish this look off perfectly for Scarlett. Taraji P. Henson is another I am not sure will attend the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday since her nomination comes as part of the Best Ensemble Cast nomination for Hidden Figures. Taraji though has never met a red carpet she didn’t like so I would love to see her hit the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night. I would love to see Taraji bring some edgy glamour to the Critics Choice red carpet wearing this white Alessandra Rich Spring 2017 RTW draped lace tea length gown. We don’t see a lot of Alessandra Rich designs on the red carpet and that surprises me since the collections are always chic and glamorous with a hint of edge. Taraji would totally own this dress, I can already see her bringing out her inner sex kitten to really turn this into a killer red carpet moment. A sleek ponytail, kohl rimmed eyes, a bold lip, and gold sandal would really ensure that Taraji says “here I am” if and when she steps out on the Critics Choice Awards red carpet Sunday night.
