The 2016 Emmy Awards are about to be upon us. Before the main Primetime Emmy Awards on September 8, 2016 the Television Academy will honor a host of the nominees in the creative and technical categories over two days in a ceremony separate of the televised show on September 10 and 11, 2016. A host of celebrities will be on hand to present over the course of the two days. I am wondering with the change in the set up for the presentation of these awards that the dress code will be less formal than in the past. Heidi Klum will be on hand on the second night of the awards September 11, and I am hoping that she recovers from her terrible look last year. Heidi has a pension for dressing really young and it ends up making her look even older than she is. Heidi has the potential to have some amazing red carpet looks but her looks are always aging. I think that this chic, yet sporty, blood orange Atelier Versace Spring 2016 Couture sequined gown which features a sexy split, scoop neck, and cowel draped back would be amazing on Heidi. This is one look from the Spring 2016 Couture collections that I can not believe hasn’t been worn yet. I think that Heidi would really do this gown an enormous amount of justice on the Creative Arts Emmys red carpet. A pair of simple gold sandals, sleek low ponytail, a fresh face of makeup, and a pair of dazzling diamond drop earrings would really put Heidi over the top with this look. Julianne Hough will join Heidi on the red carpet on day two of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The Dancing With The Stars judge and Grease Live! star is either a hit or a miss for me when it comes to her red carpet style. I usually either love or loathe what Julianne wears on the red carpet and I am hoping that come this red carpet that Julianne is firmly in the love column. This gorgeous Georges Hobeika Fall 2016 Couture floral embroidered gown I think would firmly put her in that love column. My favorite look ever from Julianne is another Georges Hobeika Couture gown which evokes old Hollywood glam. This look may be more flirty, floral, feminine gown but I think it would be just as chic of a moment. An elegant updo, light pink lip, floral inspired diamond cluster earrings, a gold clutch, and gold pumps would put the perfect touches to this look for this to be an amazing red carpet moment for Julianne. Also joining Julianne and Heidi on day two of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards is Scorpion star Katherine McPhee. Of the two nights the second is definitely shaping up to be the more glamorous of the two nights. Katherine has had some really great red carpet looks and I love to see her really go for the glam. I think that for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards I would love to see Katherine hit the red carpet in this pale yellow Jenny Packham Resort 2017 gown which features gorgeous red floral embroidery. I think that this sporty shape of the bodice and the flowing skirt and the floral embroidery really work together to create a look that is perfect for Katherine. This would be such a chic sporty yet uber feminine moment for Katherine. A pair of gold sandals, a chic loose updo, a red lip, and some diamond drop earrings would really send this look over the top.The Crazy Ex Girlfriend Rachel Bloom is the only person on this list who is going to be presenting on the first night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday September 10, 2016. Rachel wore a gorgeous custom Christian Siriano gown for the Golden Globe Awards and I am hoping that she continues to grow on her red carpet repertoire. I think that Rachel would look gorgeous in this pool blue Sachin + Babi Fall 2016 RTW strapless a-line gown which features a high low hemline. Rachel has been an advocate for how to dress when you aren’t a sample size and labels that dress stars of all sizes have been working with the overnight starlet to create her red carpet ensembles. I think that this gown styled similar to the lookbook with a pair of strappy black sandals, a red lip, a chic updo, and a pair of diamond drop earrings would really just enhance this look for Rachel on the red carpet.
