The likes of the fashion and film worlds have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Tom Ford’s sophomore film Nocturnal Animals and the film will kick off its promotional tour with a gala premiere at the 2016 Venice Film Festival, like Ford’s first film A Single Man. Nocturnal Animals stars the gorgeous Amy Adams who I am really excited to see really bring it to the red carpets over the next couple of months, and hopefully through Awards Season 2017. Back when A Single Man premiered Julianne Moore was the first to wear Tom Ford’s namesake womenswear line in 2009 (the official debut came nearly a year later with Spring 2011 in September of 2010) wearing the label for both the photocall and premiere. I am hoping that Amy will branch out not exclusively wearing Tom Ford for all of her appearances promoting the film. For the film’s photocall I would love to see Amy wearing this Oscar de la Renta Resort 2017 black and cream ensemble which features a ruffled sleeveless blouse and tweed, lace, and crochet ruffled hem pencil skirt. This is such a classic look and I think that Amy would look incredibly chic. For the premiere I imagine that Amy will wear a gorgeous custom Tom Ford gown. I had to scour the virtual shelves to find a gown for Amy to wear as Tom Ford canceled showing his Fall 2016 RTW collection in February in favor of showing it in season come September. So I picked this midnight blue Tom Ford one shoulder zip-detailed gown from Net-A-Porter as the inspiration for the gown I would love to see Amy wearing. I would really want this style of gown to be enhanced with a dramatic hip bow that turns into a glamorous train. I would love for Amy to go full Tom Ford ambassador with this look adding a silver Tom Ford crystal rock clutch, a pair of strappy silver Tom Ford ‘Elena’ sandals, a chic updo, diamond drop earrings, and a red lip to really ensure that she kicks this promo tour off in high fashion. Isla Fisher stars alongside Amy, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Armie Hammer in Nocturnal Animals. I think that Isla will be the one on the red carpet at the films Venice Film Festival premiere that isn’t wearing Tom Ford. Despite the fact that Isla is in Tom’s film I don’t think that she would be gifted the pleasure of wearing the label on the red carpet since it is such an exclusive pleasure and they usually only dress one lady per event and I would believe that Amy would be the one wearing the label on the red carpet. For the film’s photocall I would love to see Isla wearing this Monique Lhuillier Resort 2017 ensemble which features a white boat neck draped top and pink and red floral embroidered lace pencil skirt. I think that the bright pink and red would perfectly compliment Isla’s peachy coloring and flame red hair (two gorgeous redheads on one red carpet I can’t wait.) For the gala premiere I went with something more dramatic for Isla going with this cornflower blue strapless Marchesa Resort 2016 tiered ball gown features a corset bodice and a full ruffled and tiered tulle skirt. For a major premiere at one of the most glamorous film festivals I always say go big or go home and this is definitely going big. Glamorous old Hollywood waves, a pair of silver sandals, diamond drop earrings, and a pink lip would really make this a look for Isla’s red carpet record book.
The 2016 Venice Film Festival opens August 31, 2016 and runs through September 10, 2016.
