After a questionable Spring 2016 Couture collection, the red carpet king was back on his throne. For Fall 2016 Couture Elie Saab used New York City as the jumping point for what turned out to be one of the most red carpet ready collections of the whole week. I only pin looks that I really love to Pinterest and I can honestly say that I pinned every single look from this collection. The rich Art Deco embroideries, luxe velvet devore draping, florals, and feathers all worked hand in hand to create an absolutely gorgeous collection. I loved that this season alongside some of his models that Elie Saab crafted kiddie couture to match looks that he was sending down the runway. The presentation felt intimate and elegant. My favorite look in the collection was hard to pick but I ultimately picked the purple draped velvet gown which features stunning embellishments imitating feathers on the shoulder and waist, a daring plunging neckline, and a sexy draped split. Kate Beckinsale was the first person to come to my mind when I first saw that look and I think she would turn it into a gorgeous red carpet moment. Other stars I can picture wearing this collection include Sonam Kapoor, Fan Bingbing, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Lupita Nyong’o, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Dita Von Teese, Adriana Lima, Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Anna Kendrick, Karolina Kurkova, Li Bingbing, Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Taylor Swift, Araya A.
