Runway Report: Ashi Studio Fall 2016 Couture

runway-report-ashi-studio-fall-2016-couture (1)I love following emerging brands as they start to make more and more of a splash in the red carpet arena. Last year Sonam Kapoor and Araya A. Hargate were the two that really introduced me to Ashi Studio, and the brands designs just keep getting better. The Fall 2016 Couture was absolutely amazing. While the incredible structure of these looks is already a stand out when I saw the details, through Snapchat, at the collections presentation during Paris Couture Fashion Week I was even more blown away. These have to rank among some of the most detailed looks that I have ever seen in my entire life. All the patterns are embroidered then beaded and layered with intricacies making them total feats of glamour. Araya was lucky enough to give us a sneak peak at the collection before it was released wearing it out in Paris during couture week, and then ultimately attended the collections presentation (anyone else feeling Cannes 2017?) My favorite look was the black and white full skirted sleeveless cocktail dress which would be beautiful on Lady Gaga.  runway-report-ashi-studio-fall-2016-couture (2)Ashi Studio is such a tricky brand to wear since the looks are so complicated and (at times) rather large so it would take a woman with great presence to make this collection work on the red carpet. Araya A. Hargate is one that I can picture making this collection come to life on the red carpet. Some others I can also picture making these looks work include Rita Ora, Fan Bingbing, Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Olga Kurylenko, Nicole Kidman, Ana De Armas, Anna Kendrick, Cate Blanchett, Zendaya, Demi Lovato, Jessica Chastain, Christina Ricci, Lady Gaga, & Julianne Moore.runway-report-ashi-studio-fall-2016-couture (3)
