Runway Report: Marchesa Resort 2017

runway-report-marchesa-resort-2017 (1)Marchesa has been getting better and better with each collection recently. When I finally think that they have reached a peak Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig continue to top themselves. Upon hearing that Chapman and Craig were inspired by Sharon Stone’s character Ginger McKenna in the Martin Scorsese film Casino I was a little surprised. I didn’t see the inspiration at all, until I read further that it was more the characters love of all things luxurious that inspired the Marchesa design duo. I feel like the collection is more suited to the casino’s of Monaco and the Oscar’s red carpet over the Las Vegas strip. Marchesa is always a label that starlets will be able to run to to find something that will deliver a dramatic, feminine red carpet moment. runway-report-marchesa-resort-2017 (2)There are many potential red carpet moments for women who are searching for feminine glamour.
