2016 Tony Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 4

renee-elise-goldsberry-2016-tony-awards-wish-list (1)The 2016 Tony Awards are just 2 days away! I am getting more and more excited as the days pass. I gave been sitting at my desk writing these posts and editing my pictures blasting Broadway show tunes and singing at the top of my lungs. Of all the non-Hollywood Broadway stars I am most interested to see what Hamilton‘s Schuyler sisters are going to bring to the red carpet. I have already posted my wish for Best Performance by and Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical nominee Phillipa Soo (who plays Eliza Schuyler) and now I am making my wish for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical nominee Renee Elise Goldsberry, who plays Angelica Schuyler. With Hamilton being such a high profile show, undoubtedly the most high high profile show to ever open on Broadway, I can see labels throwing clothing at the nominated cast members. I would love to see Renee take to the red carpet in the highest of style with this burnt orange sleeveless Vionnet Fall 2016 RTW gown which features ruched details on the bodice and a pleated a-line skirt. I think that Renee would look absolutely gorgeous wearing this gown. The color against her skin tone would really create a gorgeous glow. Styling the look with a gorgeous sleek pulled back hairstyle, a glossy nude lip, a gold clutch, glowing bronzed skin, gold sandals, a pair of multicolored stone Bulgari drop earrings would really show us a gorgeous red carpet moment from Renee. saoirse-ronan-2016-tony-awards-wish-list (1)Saoirse Ronan is currently staring in the Tony Award nominated revival of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and will be on hand at the Tony’s on Sunday as one of the nights presenters. While she was unable to snag a nomination for her work in the show I am hoping that Saoirse will bring some major moment to the Tony Awards red carpet. I would love to see Saoirse wearing this baby pink Givenchy Spring 2016 Couture rouched halter gown which features pink crocodile leather trimmed side cutouts, and a flowing skirt. Saoirse is one of the faces that can bring couture to the red carpet and I am hoping that she does. I haven’t been the biggest fan of the Givenchy Spring 2016 Couture collection on the red carpet but I think that that Saoirse would be ever so statuesque in this gown. I would really love it if Saoirse wore her hair in a sleek updo with this gown. Adding a light smokey eye, a silver Givenchy mirror leather clutch, a pair silver Givenchy sharklock metallic leather platform sandals, and a pair of diamond drop earrings would really just send this look into A+ red carpet dressing. saycon-sengbloh-2016-tony-awards-wish-list (1)Saycon Sengbloh rounds out the nominees from the hit Broadway play Eclipsed. Saycon is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play and I am hoping that this cast is one of the best dressed of the night. I would love to Saycon hit the Tony Awards red carpet wearing this black Zac Posen Fall 2016 RTW gown which features allover asymmetrical draping and subtle embellished piping. I think that Saycon would be incredibly dazzling in this look which gives me 20’s flapper and 70’s disco queen vibes all at the same time. I think that this gown would waft down the red carpet in such a fun, glamorous manner that Saycon will shine, despite it being a basic black dress. Big curls, diamond drop earrings, a black clutch, red lip, and black sandals would put the perfect finishing touches on this perfect Tony Awards ensemble. sophie-okonedo-2016-tony-awards-wish-list (1)While Saoirse did not snag a nomination for The Crucible her co-star Sophie Okenedo did for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play. I am hoping that Sophie will hit the Tony Awards red carpet in something very elegant yet high fashion. Sophie spent her one night a week off at the Met Gala and was underwhelming in an ill-fitting draped silver silk gown. I am hoping that her look on Sunday is much better than that. I would love to see Sophie wearing this Altuzarra Pre-Fall 2016 gown which features a mermaid skirt and a multi-color pailette embellished top. I think that this gown is something that Sophie would wear with her more laid back style. A black clutch, a pair of black peep toe pumps, and her signature beauty would finish this look perfectly.uzo-aduba-2016-tony-awards-wish-list (1)Uzo Aduba is being welcomed back to the Tony Awards stage on Sunday. Having not been at the Tony’s since 2012 where she performed with the cast of the Broadway revival of Godspell. Well Uzo is not making a return to Broadway just yet, and there are no announced plans to do so at this time, but she will be on hand to celebrate this years shows as a presenter. I was having a hard time picking a look for Uzo to wear on the Tony Awards red carpet, until I saw this white Monique Lhuillier Resort 2017 caped gown which features cold shoulder’s, a daring split, and gorgeous gold beaded embroidery on the neck/shoulders and along the split. I think that this would be a different look for Uzo, but one that would really work on her body type. I would love to see Uzo pair the gown with the look book’s burnt orange sandals, but I would also be okay with a pair of gold sandals. Rounding the look out with a small gold clutch, sleek hairstyle, and red lip would really ensure that Uzo has a gorgeous moment on the Tony Awards red carpet on Sunday night.
