heidi-klum-amfar-cinema-against-aids-gala-cannes-2016-wish-list (1)The 2016 Cannes Film Festival has been off to a chic start and it just keeps getting better. One star we always see during Cannes, and especially amfAR, is supermodel Heidi Klum. We will see Heidi on the red carpet at amfAR as she is on the board of event chairs. Heidi goes to her two go to designers, Versace and Marchesa, when she steps out on the red carpet during Cannes. for amfAR I went with the former with this amazing aqua blue Atelier Versace Fall 2012 Couture gown which features embellished sheer details throughout. I have been waiting to see this gown on the red carpet and have wished for everyone from Kate Hudson and Hilary Swank to Leaticia Casta and Uma Thurman and many more to take this gown and don it on the red carpet, and now I am wishing for Heidi to wear it. I tend to think that Heidi tries to hard, but I think that this gown would be such a beautiful moment for her. Where Heidi has the potential to loose this look is if she doesn’t do anything with her hair. I would love to see Heidi take to the red carpet with a chic updo, a pink lip, silver sandals, & a silver crystal embellished clutch to really let her shine.karolina-kurkova-amfar-cinema-against-aids-gala-cannes-2016-wish-list (1)Karolina Kurkova showed me the magic that I have been missing from her looks on the red carpet at the Met Gala in a custom Marchesa “smart dress,” and it totally made me excited for things to come. For amfAR I would love to see Karolina take to the red carpet wearing this red, purple, black, and peach lace Alexis Mabille Pre-Fall 2016 gown. I love that this gown meshes dark glamour and easy, breezy French elegance. Karolina wore Alexis Mabille to the amfAR Gala last year, but this is a completely different look from that. A chic wavy updo, red lip, black sandals, and a black clutch would be a perfect look for Karolina on the amfAR red carpet. katy-perry-amfar-cinema-against-aids-gala-cannes-2016-wish-list (1)Katy Perry will be on hand at the amfAR Gala on Thursday night as this year’s headline performer. I have been unfavorable about Katy’s looks over the last few years, and I don’t think that is going to change any time soon. I have found a lot of Katy’s look poorly constructed or overwhelming or just plain tacky. I am hoping that Katy will deliver something more chic and elegant come the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala. This Alexis Mabille Spring 2016 Couture ensemble which features a white shirt style lengthened blouse and navy skirt with an embellished hemline would be absolutely perfect for this red carpet. At amfAR I love to see stars go for more relaxed effortless French glamour and that it exactly what Katy will bring to the red carpet in this Alexis Mabille ensemble. To really heighten this look a chic high bun, red lip, cat eye, and navy sandals are exactly what I would style this look with.lily-donaldson-amfar-cinema-against-aids-gala-cannes-2016-wish-list (1)Lily Donaldson is one of the many models that is confirmed to attend the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala to walk in the nights big fashion show curated by Carine Roitfeld. Lily was at the Cannes Film Festival opening in a baggy Miu Miu gown, which was really bad and I am hoping that she will redeem herself at the amfAR gala on Thursday. I think that this liquid silver Reem Acra Fall 2016 RTW gown with black beaded lace on the bodice. This gown meshes tough armor like strength and glamorous femininity, something that I think Lily would rock in such an amazing fashion on the amfAR red carpet. Adding a pair of dainty diamond earrings, strong pony tail, bold red lip, and black Christian Louboutin sandals would be the perfect icing on this strong look.marion-cotillard-amfar-cinema-against-aids-gala-cannes-2016-wish-list (1)Marion Cotillard is usually a frequent face at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. The big party is one of the few nights off from her Dior contract that we get to see, but I don’t know if Marion will be on hand this year. Marion’s film It’s Only The End Of The World is slated to be the late premiere the same night. I have seen people walk the red carpet at the Palais de Festivals and duck out to head over to amfAR; so I am hoping that Marion will walk at amfAR and then duck out for her premiere at the Palais. I would love to see Marion hit the red carpet at the amfAR gala wearing her first Oscar de la Renta look ever with this Fall 2016 RTW ensemble which features a fuchsia strapless bustier and light oyster silk taffeta ruched ruffle evening skirt. Usually Marion sticks to European designers but I think that this Oscar look would be a perfect glamour statement for Marion to make on the amfAR red carpet. vanessa-paradis-amfar-cinema-agaisnst-aids-gala-cannes-2016-wish-list (1)As expected all of feature film jury member Vanessa Paradis’s red carpet looks over the course of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival have come courtesy of Chanel. As of yet we have not seen Vanessa wear Couture on the red carpet, but I am sure that it is coming. For the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, which the jury members usually attend to be able to have some fun amongst their duties, I would love to see Vanessa take to the red carpet wearing this ivory Chanel Spring 2016 Couture silk midi gown which features a beaded halter, blouson bodice, and beaded detailing at the waist and hips. I think that this is a perfect look for Vanessa to rock on the red carpet as it meshes her French rocker style with high glamour. A pair of gunmetal sandals and a red lip would really turn this look into something special for Vanessa for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala on Thursday.
