Tadashi Shoji is one that you can always count on for a collection of absolutely glamorous gowns. I fell in love with this Japanese garden inspired Spring/Summer 2016 RTW collection. The main floral focus of the collection was wisteria. The floral vine was draped over the entrance to the runway, embroidered as a motif on many of the looks that were presented, and used as a color inspiration for other. My problem with this collection really came down to the fact that many of the looks seemed like they had not been fit to the model that was wearing them. I detest when it doesn’t look like 100% precision is executed when presenting a collection on the NYFW stage and that did not happen over at Tadashi. I am sure that we will see many of these looks on the red carpet with festival season upon us and awards season just around the corner.
