Runway Report: Nicholas K Spring/Summer 2016 RTW

runway-report-nicholas-k-spring-2016-rtw-nyfw1A look from Nicholas K Spring/Summer 2016 RTW would not look out of place in a post-apocalyptic desert society. I loved this edgy collection that could don the backs of bad ass world explorers for their adventures. I gotta say that while much of this collection presented as more of a Fall collection than a Spring line I still applaud Nicholas K for not straying from his woman and her desire for fashion forward utilitarian clothing. The look of a Nicholas K collection is always one of the edgiest, casual shows of New York Fashion Week and I love to see what will be brought to the runway next. There are a bunch of really great pieces in this collection. The rough wrapped, collard button down shirts presented in light denim, grey denim, and brown suede were among my favorite pieces from the show. Paired with draped skirts, cropped denim utility pants, leather utility pants, and wide leg nylon pants these tops were among some of my favorite runway looks from this collection.
